"We are all Changemakers"

Paula Roberts has worked with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) since the fall of 2015 – just as the organization was making a significant transition consolidating its structure from four regionally led units each with a different CEO and Board of Directors, to one Nationally led entity with a single CEO and Board. With significant change management and not-for-profit experience, CBCF looked to Paula to provide leadership on all aspects of the marketing, fundraising and communications functions as the organization re-imaged it’s future to not only be the leading funder of breast cancer research in Canada, but also an education and support services resource for anyone affected by breast cancer through its recent amalgamation with Willow Breast and Hereditary Cancer Support. It was quite literally, the dawning of a new day for this much loved organization.

As the acting Chief Marketing and Development Officer for the organization – Paula continues to work with  the Executive Leadership team supporting the rebuilding and refocusing of CBCF teams on subjects as diverse as issues management, revenue diversification, digital communications and all aspects of marketing for the Canadian Breast Cancer CIBC Run for the Cure – Canada’s largest single, volunteer event – today with over 100,000 participants in more than 60 locations, together raising more than $17 million. With 1 in every 9 women in this country being touched by this disease, almost all of us know someone affected by breast cancer. Huge strides have been made but there is more work to be done. Paula is delighted to be working in such an inclusive way with the team at CBCF as they continue to work toward a future without breast cancer.
