Canadian Partnership For Women and Children’s Health
The Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health is a group of NGOs, academic institutions and health professional associations working together to improve the lives of women and children in the world’s poorest countries. The network in partnership with the Government of Canada is doing lifesaving work in over 125 countries around the globe collectively impacting the health of hundreds of thousands of women and their children.
A New Brand Identity for the Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health
HALO Brand Leadership has worked with the Canadian Network for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health since January, 2015. Over that time, HALO has provided CAN-MNCH strategic council for ground-breaking research, public-facing campaigns and creative development of a special commemorative book entitled Highlights from a Journey with the World¹s Women and Children.
Most recently, HALO created a new brand identity to support the introduction of the organization's new name later this year - Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health. This new identity reflects the synergistic relationship between the 80+ member agencies all of whom are committed to the Mission – We catalyze Canadian collaboration to improve women's and children's health worldwide. Undeniably Canadian, the scatterplot design that makes up the iconic maple leaf embraces science and reflects the inter-connected partnership required to successfully implement the organization’s purpose.
Highlights from a Journey with the World's Women and Children 2010 - 2015
2015 marked the 5th anniversary of the CAN-MNCH network. HALO Brand Leadership was invited to create a special commemorative book celebrating the many important accomplishments that the network's partner organizations had enabled for some of the most marginalized women and children in the world. The book features a foreword from Margaret Chan, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, as well as hundreds of photos and facts that tell the compelling story of a journey that started in Canada in 2010 with impacts that now extend around the world. This beautiful memento was distributed at the network's 2015 Annual General Meeting.
“Building #MOMmentum” Campaign
HALO Brand Leadership worked with the Executive Team at CAN-MNCH and NATIONAL Public Relations to increase the engagement of everyday Canadians in this critical issue. Our initial project was executed in conjunction with Mother’s Day 2015 and called “Building #MOMmentum”. We designed an integrated program that shared key facts with influential media personalities and bloggers who were targeted based on their interest in subjects related to mothers and children. We provided these influencers with a personalized backgrounder regarding the issue and info-bytes that they could easily share with their own networks in an effort to get the word out about the Network’s success to date and the challenges that still remain. The program generated over 350,000 social media impressions on Twitter and connected the Network with a new group of champions who can help us continue to spread the word going forward.
