Paula Roberts, HALO Brand Leadership’s CEO, is an award-winning not-for-profit marketer and advertising agency professional with over three decades of experience. Before founding HALO in 2015, Paula was the EVP, Marketing and Development at Plan International Canada where she led the introduction of the celebrated Because I am a Girl brand marketing campaign and was part of the team whose advocacy efforts resulted in the United Nations declaring October 11th as the International Day of the Girl. She also oversaw Plan Canada's $100MM+ public fundraising portfolio. Prior to Plan, Paula was VP, Strategic Communications at SickKids Foundation where she introduced one of the Foundation’s first large scale integrated brand marketing campaigns; the Believe campaign supported the doubling of funds raised over her four-year tenure to $98MM+. Both campaigns received multiple Cassie Awards for advertising effectiveness. Paula is a sought after public speaker and the first female Valedictorian of the coveted Rotman School of Management’s Directors Education program in conjunction with the Institute of Corporate Directors. She has served on the Boards of publicly traded companies and is the past Vice Chair of the Women’s Philanthropy Institute Advisory Council at the University of Indiana's Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. She currently leads the HALO team’s efforts with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Children’s Aid Foundation and sits on the Board of Alpha Canada.
